Stable phase‐centre horn antenna using 3D printed dielectric rod for aperture efficiency improvement of space‐fed antennas

The design strategy to stabilise the phase centre (PC) of conventional horn antenna using a shaped dielectric rod is presented for aperture efficiency improvement space-fed antennas. In most practical antennas, PC location has significant variations with frequency leading error loss and reduction over bandwidth interest. To overcome this drawback, based on physical reasoning, rods appropriate excitation mode are designed placed rectangular conical simulation results show that inside leads decrease in phase-centre versus without disturbing radiation pattern reflection coefficient. investigate performance, corrugated loaded by tapered used as feed transmitarray antenna.
